Letter of Support Request Form

Our office can provide your organization with a letter of support for federal grant applications. To request a letter of support, please complete the form below and include a draft letter that we may adapt.

Please note that submitting this form is a request to be considered for a letter of support and does not guarantee approval. Each request will undergo a thorough internal review process. We look forward to reviewing your request.

Additionally, please be advised that only requests submitted at least four weeks before the deadline for the needed letter will be considered. This ensures we have sufficient time to review your request thoroughly and provide the necessary support. Requests received after this period may not be processed.

Unfortunately, we may not be able to consider requests that do not include letters of support from other elected offices. Including these letters demonstrates broader backing for your initiative and strengthens the request for our office’s consideration.

For questions or concerns, please reach out via the link below.

Draft Letter Guidelines

Please ensure that your draft letter of support is no longer than one page and includes the following information:

  • A detailed description of the project(s) the grant will fund, including a summary of expected positive outcomes, such as the number of jobs it will create or people it will benefit, and availability of matching funds.
  • How your project stands out from other applications.
  • How you expect your project to impact the community.
  • An explanation of how the funds will be used for the project(s).
  • A list of any partners involved in the project(s).
  • The amount of money the organization is requesting.
  • Whether the grant was awarded previously to the organization and what project(s) the grant funded, if applicable.
