WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ahead of the Senate vote on amendments and passage of the Republican-led Budget Resolution, U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is filing and pushing for amendments focused on mitigating the bird flu to address high egg prices, protecting Americans from cyber attacks, strengthening national security and preserving an apolitical military.
“This Republican led budget resolution is going to allow for unilateral cuts to programs important for Michiganders and make big, big changes to tax policy that benefit the ultra-wealthy,” said Slotkin. “My job is to protect the personal and economic security of Michiganders, and that’s my guidepost for the votes I’ll be casting throughout the night.”
