WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) took to the Senate Floor tonight, alongside her colleagues Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), to force a vote to amend the continuing resolution to address the impending health care crisis. Slotkin voted against the measure yesterday, citing lack of action on health care.
Slotkin spoke on the floor as the average price of health care is set to increase across the board and many Michiganders on healthcare.gov plans will see their premiums more than double. Slotkin has been clear that, to earn her vote, Republicans need to work to bring down the cost of health care.
